Overview
As the Design Lead, I was responsible for overseeing the redesign of an e-commerce website for a local clothing store specializing in custom prints. The store offered customers the unique opportunity to submit their own designs for voting, with winning designs being printed and sold. Additionally, the store collaborated with local designers and shops to create special edition products, making the website a dynamic platform for both individual creators and collaborators.
My role focused on several key areas to elevate the user experience. I led the redesign to align with the store’s rebranding efforts, ensuring that the overall aesthetic matched the refreshed brand identity. I also reworked the content structure to improve product discoverability and presentation, making it easier for customers to find and interact with both user-submitted and limited-edition designs.
Another key aspect of the project was refining the shopping and voting flows. By improving clarity and simplifying these processes, I ensured that users could navigate the site with ease, whether they were browsing products, voting on designs, or making a purchase. Additionally, I developed adaptable design components and systems that enabled the store to showcase products in various presentation formats, providing flexibility for future campaigns and product lines.
Through this redesign, we enhanced not only the visual appeal of the site but also its functionality, making it a more engaging and user-friendly platform that encouraged creativity and community involvement.
